whats up with this catch weight crap??

why isn"t margaritto allowed to weigh 154 pounds? Isn't that the maximum limit for light middleweight. He did the same thing with cotto and delahoya.

In my eyes he isn't 7 weigh champion cause there will be always doubt: what if his apponents were allowed to weigh as much as the division allowes?

And at the end of the day Cotto, DLH, and Margarito still agreed to the terms/weight stipulations (as well as payday) and signed the contract despite.

yeah I know but I think they would definitly have beaten Manny without the catchweight deal.

As much as I love Cotto I seriously doubt it, the man was outgunned in more ways than I can count, as for DLH he doesn’t handle speedy fighters as effectively and Margarito still remains to be seen on November 13th.

My point in stating my previous post is that these aforementioned fighters agreed to the terms and signed the contract and put their respected belts on the line. This shouldn’t make Manny the boogey man when it was a mutual agreement.

See, apparently that was all part of the plan...

Freddie probably never intended to have Manny come in at 150lbs to begin with, but at the more comfortable welterweight. He had Margo reduce the weight with a penalty attached to it (for psychological reasons) with the added pressure of regaining the pounds in time for the fight.

Freddie looks dumb, but he ain't ******.

Team Margo agreed to it, so that's the way the ball is rolling.

Margo has a few more questions to answer on fight night.
