If Mayweather is serious about creating a true legacy and going down in history as one of the greats, he HAS to fight Hatton at 140lbs or at least someone in the top 5 at 140lbs.
He's in possibly the hottest division in boxing at the moment and he won't fight a top 5 contender?
I think it'll be a big mistake for him to go up to 147lbs and fight Judah... Because in the future people will probably look back on his career the same way they look at RJJ's... Moved out of dangerous weight divisions to avoid dangerous fighters.
Mayweather is in a fantastic position at the moment to become a great... I just hope he doesn't screw it up.Comment

I disagree with you a little on the point of him fighting Hatton. IMO PBF would get a lot more respect stepping up and fighting Zudah rather than fighting Hatton. I think Hatton would be a snack for him and would prefer to see him fight someone that will actually stand a chance of beating him. Personally I think Hatton got lucky and will probably be mopped by the first top 5 guy he fights, e****ally if it is in the U.S. where they won't let that WWE stuff happen.Originally posted by martinwbcIf Mayweather is serious about creating a true legacy and going down in history as one of the greats, he HAS to fight Hatton at 140lbs or at least someone in the top 5 at 140lbs.

That is kinda of ridiculous. Kostya Tzyu knocked out Judah, Then Hatton stopped Tzyu. So the 2 top guys at 140-147 are clearly Hatton and Mayweather. Judah also lost to Spinks. I dont Judah vs Mayweather would be a horrible fight if Hatton vs Mayweather cant be arranged. But I myself and alot of other people want to find out who is the best. And to find that out Hatton and Mayweather have to fight each other.Originally posted by CambriaI disagree with you a little on the point of him fighting Hatton. Judah was knocked out in what 01? Zoo was not the same fighter when he fought Hatton in 05. As far as losing to Spinks that is debateable. He also came back and knocked him out pretty easily.
Beating an old Zoo doesn't make you the best at 140-147. Wrestling Zoo into submission doesn't make you the best.
Although Hatton seems like a nice guy out of the ring, I think he is overrated and I think he would be stopped pretty easily by Zudah or PBF. PBF will probably make him look ******. No I am not a PBF lover either, I just call it how I see it.
