    JMM would absolutely starch Lopez.

    Gamboa would probably beat Lopez.

    Lopez would probably starch Caballero.

    I'd say Marquez.

But Lopez is a Featherweight with great fights at 126. I see no reason to jump a class or two for a JMM fight. Take care of business at Featherweight.

Yeah, the problem with the Marquez fight is not it's merit as a fight in itself but what it entails for JuanMa's career beyond that point. If he fights Caballero or Gamboa next, we could potentially see all three of these fights. If he jumps up to 135lbs and fights JMM next, we'll never see him fight Caballero and the Gamboa fight, if it happens at all, would probably take place above it's choicest weight division.

He would forgo a large portion of 'due paying' and that would be detrimental to his resume and legacy in the long run.

Exactly, for people to criticize Lopez for the fight on the merit of him ducking Caba for Marquez, that's ******. JMM is a guaranteed loss for Lopez, Lopez isn't ducking one tough challenge for a tougher one that doesn't make sense.

It's just the fact that he is at 126 and has some great potential fights. The JMM fight is just unnecessary at this point. He should fight two more top guys at 126 then move up to 130 and so forth. He should be in no rush.

Easily Marquez at 135,but I suspect Lopez to want Marquez to meet him somewhere in between!!
