I was thinking about this and ridiculing your opponent and opponents team/coach is one way of breaking down the fear and respect factor so you are more comfortable going into the ring. Lets face it Margarito has his work cut out and the lay off has put him at a serious disadvantage. His mistake was getting caught on film.
There is also a lot of double standards going on here. I know there are a lot of people who found it funny be we live in a PC world where you are going to be deemed bad if your first reaction was to laugh. If you look at the crowd in the film pretty well everyone is laughing bar the guy with the moustache he seems to get the significance of the backlash the film would cause.
The plaster wrap thing is huge and says volumes about Margacheato but this really is a storm in a tea cup and shows you how powerful the media is in this PC world.
