Ohh can't wait for this fight, it's going to be exciting !
I want to pick Khan on this but Maidana is so dangerous.

If Khan gets careless, good night !

Hopefully, Maidana can get his head moving and show a few feints because his defence as it is just isn't good enough to avoid the quick, precise, piston like jab of Khan's. If Maidana can develop a few defensive nuances, (which I doubt he can during a single training camp) his offence will be an even greater threat to Khan than it previously was. However, I don't think you can change your style or even add significantly to your game in an 8 week training camp. Still, his power will be huge advantage for him in this fight, even if he lacks the skills to box with Khan. He will need to cut off the ring and pressure Khan into the ropes and then throw his bombs to test Khan's weak chin. The only problem with this tactic is that he used it against Cayo and was being outboxed until he started to break Cayo down mid way though the fight. Khan is Cayo on roids. He is faster, smarter, better conditioned, hits harder, and has a world class jab to go with it. If Maidana can't hurt Khan early on, I can picture him getting frustrated and abandoning any game plan he was previously adhering to. That's when Khan is dangerous and can catch you off guard.

Because of Maidana's power and Khan's weak chin, I believe Maidana is the favourite to win 60-40. But if Khan's chin can hold up, he will wipe the floor with Maidana with his skills alone and outbox him all night.

I'm so tired of people like you,Maidana may not be the best boxer but what he does he does effectively..If you gave one rd to Cayo in that fight lets hope and pray you never get ya judges license..Maidana is a pressure fighter so he might not always look good but he has always been effective in every fight I seen him in with top fighters..Kottie is a very good boxer and hurt Khan in the last two rds of their fight..IMO Maidana beat Kottie,Maidana beat Ortiz who so many on this site hold in high regards and was winning on the score cards in that fight as well..So I'm not buying the whole he has to hurt Khan early,Maidana breaks his opponents down anyway he is not a one punch kinda guy he works both head and body to they don't work anymore..Maidana may not look all pretty when he fights but that's not his style,he is a skilled boxer just cause it's not the skill you like don't say the guy has no skill and needs to rely on a big punch early and that's it..Maidana by 6 rd KO,he will break Khan's ass down...

I only gave Cayo one round. What I meant was, when Cayo elected to box and allowed Maidana to move towards him he was landing pretty easily. It was only when he decided to trade with Maidana, or let himself get caught against the ropes that Maidana landed his viscous blows. Khan isn't going to stand and trade with Maidana, and he is going to be on his toes for the duration of the fight. If Cayo was landing cleanly on Maidana, Khan will be able to as well, and at a much higher rate. I'm not saying that Maidana isn't skilled, he suits his style very well. Still, he is in the Froch, Margarito, and Katsidis bracket of boxers. He is by no means a 'skilled' boxer in the purest sense.

Good luck to him. I have no agenda against Maidana as you do against Khan.

I am a little worried about the state of boxing coming into this last stretch of the year,Maidana needs to work the body, but will he get credit for it if the work is good in a close fight??But at least this fight is very important in terms of clearing out 140,with the best fighting the best!!But 1 wild card has emerged in that weight, his name is Mattysse, that kid is a good fighter,I can't wait to see him again!!

Khan will have to exchange at some point, like you said Maidana is skilled at what he does..Khan can be on his toes a ring is only four corners sooner or later he is going to have to fight and when this happens(I expected it to happen alot more then others)Khan will get the worse of it..Hey I like Khan I'm just putting my opinion out there bout how I believe this fight will play out..I think Khan is talented and have said so in other threads but I do believe he has some smoking mirror wins based on the fact he has not fought a puncher since Prescott and TBH I don't even really think Prescott is a puncher(at least not a big puncher)..I can't wait for this fight,oh and I don't even have a bet on this fight Wazaa wanted no part of it..This is just what i think bout the fight,I just want to let it be known that Maidana is a skilled fighter not some Club fighter with no shot but to land something big in an early rd..I don't believe Maidana is a fluke but a real contender...

I don't know,I really don't see Matts beating any top fighters at 140lb..I think he will be a good gate keeper tho..

Khan is going to have to keep his composure for 12 rounds to win this fight imo

Maidana has a long history of forcing his opponents to fight his fight. He's going to be pressuring Khan all night, we'll have to wait and see how Khan reacts to that. All it's going to take is one big shot from Maidana and Khan could be on ***** street............again.

Breidis Prescott doesn't hit like Maidana does, thats for damn sure

Khan shouldnt be worried about making this fight exciting and should just go out there be cautious and outbox him, Thats what makes Mayweather great he doesnt fall for the 'lets have a brawl' to excite the fans. Khan should work to his strengths, use his jab, speed and keep moving.

If those fail then its Goodnight......Im gonna wait til closer to fight night before i make my prediction on the winner!

Should be a compelling fight. If Maidana does go to the body, lets hope the judges don't completely dismiss those punches like they did against Matthyse in the Judah fight.
