How was Lacy beating Reid an upset? There was no way Reid was beating anybody anymore.

And I don't think Mayweather beating Gatti was too much of an upset either.

Why are some trying to re-define the word "upset" ?
An upset is when the favorite loses. If he's a huge favorite & he loses...it's a bigger upset.

It doesn't matter what you discover down the road about the participants....it matters what was thought of them going in, & then what happened in the fight.

Mayweather-Gatti is the OPPOSITE of an upset.
The clear favorite won easily. There were SOME people who thought Gatti would win, but they were the MINORITY.

Gatti/Mayweather? If Gatti won, that would be upset of the year. The result was expected by many critics.

i would have to say the tyson/mcbride fight cause it was the biggest one i saw. maybe if i'd seen tsyzu/hatton i'd say differently.

            btw..
By far Kasim Ouma losing. I had great expectations for that man. I thought he would be up there with the next forces of the division. His stamina and speed were crazy.
woah there, don't count him out just yet. you're making it sound like he died.

I have to go with Maussa over Harris and if Gatti would have beat Mayweather that would have been an upset I don't know why it is even an option.Second I would say that Taylor Narrowly sqeaking it out is a pretty big upset so was the Ouma/ Karmazan fight.

I was going to pick Tszyu vs Hatton but I mean Hatton is atleast a top guy. All of the above fighters are top contenders hell I will consider Mcbride a top guy since any man over 200 pounds has a chance. But Mcbride upsetting Tyson wasnt an upset to me...I expected it.

However, Maussa knocking Vivian OUT COLD was probably the biggest....All of the other guys are top level guys. Maussa was nothing but a snaggle tooth delivery guy and part time boxer.

I went with Hatton over Kostya because of the high interest in the fight and the general opinion that Ricky was going to lose it. McBride's win was a little surpising but it did little to shake up the boxing world as a whole. Hatton's win really turned things upside-down.

Taylor-Hopkins had a similar impact, though quite a few people were picking Taylor in that one.
