Yea you're right. I guess it's just interesting from a boxing standpoint. The sport has largely faded in America, yet you still have Floyd and Pac raking in cash every fight.

You take a sport like MMA, which is arguably on a meteoric rise, and even their top guns, Anderson Silva, Rampage, Brock, only make 500K a fight. I mean the total purse for Brock-Velazquez, which was promoted as the biggest fight in MMA history was 500K+100K win bonus.

I just find that sad.

Boxing can't be run like the UFC. Top Rank or GBP can be run like the UFC. Even in MMA, they don't get ALL the fights they want. Fedor never went to the UFC. I don't think anyone could ever force Pac-Floyd. They have too much money and too many options. As MMA expands, and UFC's monopoly weakens, they will face the same problems as boxing does. That is of course if MMA does expand instead of crashing and burning.

they want to be involved in the promotion side. that's why ufc doesn't budge on the issue.

my casual ufc/boxing fans friends they watch every undercard fight but with boxing they don't pay attention until the main event.
