So if Marg is already around 151lbs-154lbs a week before / week of the fight....what is he suppose to re-hydate back up to? If its not 160lbs+...then he has no more advantage over Pac right?Comment

even a week before the fight , they're already cutting weight to make sure they can make weight at the weigh in.
plus they're training hard every day so they're burning a lot of calories.
after the weigh in when they can rehydrate + eat + stopped running/gym work , he'll put on some pounds.
look at pac. even though he has no problems making weight at 147 , he still puts on a few pounds after the weigh in.Comment

btw..... some 411.
weightdrain is when you cut so much weight for the weigh in.
he can't be weightdrained then if he's only 4-8 lbs. away from the weigh in weight.Comment

Some people fail realize that there are times that a boxer comes overweight at the weigh-in and has to lose the same amount of pounds (4)that Tony needs to lose in 1 week. Except they do it on the same day. 4 pounds in one week is nothing.Comment

So the catchweight is 150lbs right? According to reports....margarito is only 1lb. above the contracted weight the week of the fight. I thought the "right way" to prepare for a fight was to cut weight a day or two before the weigh in and then re-hydrate back to optimum weight (+10/15lbs night of the fight).Comment

i was thinking overtrained? , underweight? , overdieted?
weightdrained is just incorrect (though even boxing writers used it too , which is surprising)Comment

when everyone kept saying oscar was weightdrained i was trying to come up with a different since weightdrained wasn't right.
