Yes I have. It was a virtual shutout by Judah, with the more effective ring generalship and experience. He easily won the first 7 rounds and was outclassing Witter.
Well I heard A LOT of people saying Witter ran like a thief and was a disgrace!
But I've seen the fight since then, and JabsRstiff... If that's one of the most disgraceful "non-attempts" you've ever seen in a championship fight then you DEFINATLY HAVEN'T seen many championship fights!
Witter was so young at the time, (he'd only had 13 fights)... And there were times in that ring where he was able to beat Judah to the punch. He also caught Judah with some pretty classy shots.
Judah won the fight... No doubt about that, but In hindsight I have to agree with what I've heard some other people say. - And that's that HBO or Showtime (whichever one it was) were furious with Witter "A 13 fight novice" that made the guy they were priming as the next "SRR" look very average!
I'm thinking nowadays A LOT of people haven't seen that fight, they're just following the old story that Witter ran like a thief! - It's not true.
I also thought that the American commentators at the time were being a little unfair on Witter.
I saw the zab fight,Witter did run away and spoil for
all 12 rounds and it was one of the most annoying performances
i have ever seen, but he was grossly overmatched at real short
notice.Since then he won something like 14kos in a row as well
as 2 goog points wins.So there has been some improvement.
There has been a lot of fighters worse than Witter who got
a title shot.
