    Roman Karmazin Interview

    http://www.mosnews.com/interview/200...2/boxing.shtml

    A good read.

"What can you say about life in America?

I’d call it a prison where they feed you a lot — food is really cheap there. Life’s calm, predictable, everybody smiles. Here in Russia everything’s different. Here it’s chaotic, everyone cuts you off when you’re driving. I last about three weeks here, then I start going crazy. But it’s my country, I love it, and wouldn’t change it for anything."

    from the interview:

Has the attitude in America towards Russian boxers changed?

I think it has. The Americans are great guys! I’d get recognized in the street. I never expected that Americans would recognize me, a Russian guy, in the street.

I think fighters from other countries should not be surprised at how knowledgable (spelling?) real boxing fans are. Especially with the convenience of the internet now-a-days.

it is a pretty interesting interview.

King has a project — he wants a tournament for world champions. Right now he’s got four champions and he wants a match between us, to determine a single champion.
I hope this happens, however I'd also like for Karmazin to give Ouma a rematch.

from what i got from the interview, im almost sure he will give him a rematch. from various sources, it sounded like Ouma wasn't really prepared for the fight (not an excuse, just saying). I know Ouma really wants a rematch. The comments about it in the interview sound like he underestimates Ouma little bit:

But I know that even if we fight ten more times, I’ll win all of them. I don’t see the point in meeting him again — for me he’s a book I’ve already read.
          Should be interesting.

            hmm

Karmazin is over-confident. He thinks he is the man because he beat Ouma who had the flu before the fight? I kind of wonder if Don King had anything to do with Ouma's sickness...but in any case, in the rematch if Ouma is healthy, I'd pick him to win a close fight. Karmazin is good though.

Everyone smiling and happy in America? Yeah right. We have the highest murder rate in the world and the worst drivers...lol. Seriously, dude needs to travel the U.S. more.

Karmazin has proven that he is pretty good but Ouma is going to comeback healthy and convincingly beat him. Karmazin has great shots against anybody at 154 and I say he beats Mayorga. Once Ouma gets his rematch he will be king at 154 though.

I don't think Karmazin would be able to beat Ouma in a rematch. And if there was a big 154 pound championship tournament, i don't think he'd win that either.
