His movement and footwork are all excellent, he would still beat them all right now...you could cut his speed in half and he'd still be faster than 85% of all other boxers

speed is his best weapon, if you take that away from him it's almost like taking away the venom from a cobra.

pac without speed still has power, punch resistance, and foot work, but he'd go from an A+ fighter to a A- fighter.

to be fair, if you took away khan's or mayweather's or sergio's or anybody's speed, they wouldn't be as good either.

SPEED can be seen in oh so many ways.

          • Linear Speed
This is from 0 Seconds to Target. How fast can his punch arrive at the target. In this attribute, he is fast but could be a tad "slower" than Mayweather but nevertheless fast. Obviously I have no scientific way of proving/disproving this but just based from my own humble estimation/observation

Point A to Point B attack or Single Direct Attack is tenacious and obviously taking this away from him would take away his bread and butter attack when he uses his lunging LEAD LEFT CROSSES that we have seen vs. De La Hoya.

          • Counter Speed

Though not as a counter puncher in its purest form, Pacquiao is a counter puncher also. His 45 degree cut to the outside while throwing his LEFT CROSS or HOOKERCUT is some of the best in the sport. That was his bread and butter but in the last 3 to 4 years, his RIGHT HOOKS also have been very effective counter (or lead).

He has uncanny ability to "time" his opponents with either fist and this is where he can "outpunch" his opponents if this thread wants to take away his speed.

His well timed overhand LEFT CROSS is a textbook COUNTER PUNCH. Same thing with that HOOKERCUT that floored Cotto likewise.

          • Combination Speed

This is where I think most people connote when it comes to "speed". His multi-angle attacks that is piston-like in his rapidity and frequency that leaves his opponents (larger opponents) bewildered, shocked and hurt.

Take away this Combination Speed and you take away the main gist of Pacquiao's arsenal. Not that he isn't strong, he has the strength but the ultimate combination of all the three mentioned above, the frequency, his nimble footworks, cutting angles and stamina ARE Pacquiao trademarks.

With better footwork, chin, accurate punches and better combination. Still a force at 140.

well since everyone(besides the ones he koed) he fights says hes fast but his power didnt hurt them. they say his speed overwhelms them id assume that without his speed he wouldnt do as well. he doesnt set anything up and only reason why he gets away with mistakes is his speed and angles. hes not a master boxer and he doesnt have great defense
his main thing is his offense which he relies on speed.
