I wan to know from those who have a solid winning betting track record what you think?
Anyone on NSB having a high win bet history picking Margarito to win?

margarito will be rusty,
he has not fought anyone as good as Manny since his loss to Shane Mosley, and that was what?...nearly two years ago?
he is also too slow, and a good style match up for Manny (i believe).
i remember when Cotto pulled off some Pernell Whitaker type defense against Margs... so i'm not too worried.Comment

I'm only betting Epoints(5000).
People seem to think that Manny will win by UD. So they're putting 200 on Manny by UD and they are straddling that bet with a 200 Marg KO because Marg probably won't get a decision. This way you win money with either outcome but not if manny gets a KO or marg gets a decision.Last edited by danny711; 11-10-2010, 07:28 PM.Comment

The pressure will be effective, but only if he's able to consistently get to Pacquiao's body.
Margarito gets hit a lot less by southpaws because he's good at catching their jab and does a good job of parrying their left.
His best punch against southpaws is a right uppercut/hook to the body, he can even counter well with it. If he's able to hurt or repeatedly catch Pacquiao with it from early on, Pacquiao will get beat up.
Pacquiao has great, fast footwork, but he will go back if you force him to.
It all depends on how Pacquiao takes Margarito's body shots, if it wears him down or hurts him, it's a wrap for him. If he can take them without wearing down much, he'll take a decision because Margarito won't be able to get to him until late. And if he's able to avoid them altogether (I doubt this), he will cruise to a wide decision, possibly a late KO.Comment

Margs height will work against him. Those long arms will keep him from getting off on the inside once he brings the pressure, while Pacquiao will be able to tee off. The guy who said Margs needs to go to the body is correct, but he'll have to lean down to really throw good body shots; When he does Manny will be there to make him pay.Comment
