Where to watch Pac - Marg in NYC on Saturday?

I am gonna end up in New York this weekend, and was wondering if any of you locals know of good venues to catch the fight on a decent sized screen. I don't wanna sit alone in my hotel room and order PPVs. I'm not sure yet whether I'll be staying in the city or Brooklyn, so anywhere is fine with me. Someplace not too rowdy and with tasty food. A Mexican or Filipino restaraunt would be just fine, I want to be there with people who came to watch the fight and not be the only one looking at the screen. I also don't mind to be completely surrounded by fans of either fighter, I'm not really rooting for anybody in particular. Just want to have a good night and enjoy the fight.

So fellas, any recommendations or even somewhere that you all will be at?

    Thanks.

P.S. Do you know of anybody who will also be showing the Haye fight live?

Don't know about the Haye fight but Playwright Tavern on 49th street between Broadway and 7th avenue in Manhattan will show Pacquiao-Margarito. They show every big PPV fight. Might be a $20 cover at the door though. It's a good place though - lots of fighters, trainers and writers watch it there.

Great, thank you. I checked it out online and it looks nice, and the prices are alright. According to their website the boxing event on Saturday will be free. If you've there, how's the atmosphere during fights?

Anybody else? I want to have some options.

Authentic Irish pub near Madison Square Garden. Four floors, sports viewing, Irish breakfast daily, happy hour, brunch. 36 W 33rd St, NYC.

I've been here for a few big fights. I would call in advance to find out what the cover is.

            There's a $20.00 cover at Playwright.

Thanks. Well, the Playwright website says that it is free (http://www.playwrighttavern.com/index-3.html), but that might be old. What was the last time you were there? I guess I'll just call and ask.

The best boxing bar in NYC is Jimmy's Corner in Times Square. It's owned by boxing trainer Jimmy Glenn and is a frequent haunt of boxing figures. It's located at 140 West 44th Street.

Jersey City's Ringside Lounge is my favorite in Jersey. Mike Tyson hangs out there and Arturo Gatti used to live there.

Playwright and Demsey's are my favorite spots in NYC but I've never watched a fight there. John Duddy is sponsored by the owner of Demsey's I believe.

Last time I went to Dempsey's was for an MMA event(Lesnar/Carwin) a few months ago.

The info on Playwright's site probably hasn't been updated. My meetup group posted a notice that they have a cover charge at Playwright.

Dempsey's is nice. I haven't been to playwright myself. I'll be sure to say what's up, if I ever run into you.
