Manny Pacquiao: First ASIAN Sports Star to BREAK the US market

    By Gareth A Davies 11:43PM GMT 09 Nov 2010
Pacquiao, elected to Congress in The Philippines earlier this year, faces Antonio Margarito at light-middleweight at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium on Saturday night. Seventy thousand tickets have been sold. Tens of millions will watch his fight around the world. Pacquiao enjoys a level of idolatry bordering obsession at home, yet in the US, he represents the first Asian sports star to cross into the mainstream in the United States.

if 70k has been sold then expect the fight to possibly hit 80k in attendance. its only Wednesday, 2 more days till fight night, wouldnt be surprised if they were able to hit 100k in attendance. lots of walk ins.

Pacman outsold the Klitschkos, thats a huge feet.

Klitschkos I've heard the most they ever sold is 60,000(Which is insanely impressive, but if Pacquiao outdid them on sales then wow!)

Klitschkos have a huge german following which I expect most of you already knew that. I think they set the record of people in attendance but could be wrong.

I'm really glad to hear about it, but i can't find other articles bolstering this claim of 70k tickets sold. Do you or anyone here know how to verify this?

pac's achievement is even greater due to the fact that he is selling in america where boxing is a dying sport as oppose to the k bros who sell out germany where they're just happy to have something to watch & do.
