He's got the power, stamina, speed, footwork to make Marg look as silly as he did against Mosley.

speed isnt the issue, cotto had faster hand speed than margarito the whole fight, controversy or not, margarito took what cotto had to offer, not a weight drained cotto neither, he had the real deal, but he was able to grind cotto down and hit cotto with huge body shots.

no one likes to talk about this fight because everyone sees what could be a unfair win for margarito in the cotto fight, but the fact remains style wise cotto had margarito and tony was able to force his fight and give cotto issues.

i can see him doing the same to pacquiao, only a bit easier, even though pacquiao has more talent and set skills verses margarito, a true mauling style could give pacquiao a hard time and lead to some unfavorable positions for getting hit.

margarito can certainly ko pacquiao with his power, but can pacquiao ko margarito with his? shane mosley physically manhandled margarito that fight, i mean he(shane) seriously was the more physical fighter and bullied margarito around on the inside, can pacquiao pull that off? i don't know, one thing i do know is, with margarito you have to stand and fight at some point and fight his fight, boxing and moving doesn't really last too long because margarito eventually catches up with the guy and forces his opponent to fight. everyone who has beaten him had to stand and take it to him, the didn't dance around all fight long and simply out point him. even tagging margarito at will tony was able to catch up to all his foes.

im not a huge fan, been kind of put off by margarito after the hand wrap controversy, but i have to point out obvious facts that can and i think will play or BE the factors in their fight this saturnday.

pacquiao will most likely look like a god for the first part of the fight but up and around the 6th round i think you'll see a shift in momentum in the fight in tonys favor. the fight will then be determined on how pacquiao handles it and has a answer for what margarito will do.

i say, watch what margarito lands during the first few rounds while he is basically getting his ass kicked, but look at the shots and if he's landing good quality bodyshots while mannys taggin him, pacquiao could be in trouble in the later rounds............


i'm thinking an upset stomach for a bunch of folks in this fight to be honest, i'm going to pick against the favorito and i'm picking margarito in an upset over pacquiao. is this mannys fall, who knows, i don't know, kind of don't think so, but bigger durable pressure fighter who usually gets stronger as the fight progresses, i think margarito has a decent chance at beating manny in a fight, not a boxing match, but a fight where both fighters have to make a stand and look to dominate their opponent.....

i'm going to say margarito stops manny in the 11th round mid way through the round, roach stops it.


don't get me wrong, i like pacquiao, i just think style and size wise margarito, even at a catch weight and all attached, i think he can physically pull off a win with a mauing, swarming, brawling, pressure style.

may the best man win.
