As arrogant/confident as Toney is I do find it hard that he would believe he needed steroids to beat Ruiz. But considering he took the fight on a months notice... it makes me wonder.

If Toney had not been juiced up on steroids he would have come in at 200 pounds max , and he would have been overpowered by Ruiz!

You should show some respect because he has become the champion with only limited ability, he did this because he came up with a style to baffle many better skilled fighters than himself! For this reason he should be commended, not made fun of!

lets just take a look at his title record and see how pathetic it is:
1. Loses title to Evander Holyfield = disgraceful.
2. Wins title from Holyfield = so what?
3. Draws with Holyfield = what's wrong? cant come up with another ugly decision?
4. Fights only once in 2002 against Kirk Johnson and squeeks away with a DQ win and doesnt fight for another 8 months.
5. Loses title to Roy Jones = OWNAGE.
6. Beats Hasim Rahman for vacant title... the same title he never won back from Roy = pathetic paper champion reign begins again.
7. TKOs Fres Oquendo in one of the worst fights and worst decisions in recent history.
8. Gets KDd twice and lost a point in fight with Andrew Golota... and he still won?! Thats a bull**** decision if i ever saw one.
9. Loses title again to a MIDDLEWEIGHT in just 2 years... and still somehow (because of lame ass WBA rules) keeps title... even though he LOST.*

*there are only three middleweights to win the Middleweight and move up to HW titles: Bob Fitzsimmons at the turn of the century, Roy Jones in 2003 and James Toney in 2005. Ruiz allowed history to be made against him twice in two years: disgraceful.

Yes, but Byrd won against Oquendo and drew with Gollota(I think), and both those outcomes were a disgrace, but no one makes fun of him! Enough, this argument is over!
