Im rewatching it on HBO on Demand and that is a crazy ass round......

Cotto throwing some lighting quick bobmbs landing flush on Margs and Margs landing hellacious body shots.....

Margs was landing some nasty body shots in that round, and if he can land some of those on Pacquiao........ LEts just say Pac cant take them to the body as well as Cotto did.....

Margs is going to murk Pac's body.....

This fight is too close too call... I cant wait for Saturday!!!!!

The ending of that round is awesome...Cotto lands a huge left hook from the southpaw stance snapping Margos head back...but then Margarito lands two good body punches.

That part there told the story of the whole fight, Cotto couldn't take Margaritos head off but Marg did take Cottos body

I'm a Puerto Rican and I remember watching that fight over and over after the original airing the night before. It was a really good fight despite it not turning out the way I wanted. If one briefly ignores the controversy now surrounding the fight, it is a terrific action-packed fight.

The HBO commentary makes it seem like Cotto was clearly beating Margarito, though.

The second round is spectacular. I know it like the back of my hand.

There's a great flurry that Cotto catches Margarito in the first minute of the round and then ducks and dances away from two of Margarito's punches.

A while later, Cotto's moving away, Margarito catches him with an uppercut to the body, Cotto folds against the ropes, Margarito keeps digging, Cotto flurries and lands a javelin-like uppercut flush on the chin. Cotto moves away to the ropes near the commentators, Margarito walks him down while grinning, and then they begin to give and take. As they circle around the ring ****ing away at each other, Cotto distances himself a little, Margarito catches him with a straight right that makes Cotto almost stumble back, but he awkwardly holds his ground. Margarito traps him in the corner a while, and away they go at it again.

As the round ends, Cotto lands a nice 1-2-1 combination on Margarito's chin, moves left, Margarito chases desperately, and Cotto shifts his weight and throws a lunging hook (almost jumping towards Margarito's head) and hitting him with a HUGE left hook to end the round. Margarito grins as he goes back to his corner as the crowd cheers vigorously.

I wrote all that off the top of my head without looking at the fight. I've seen that fight many times.

That **** is epic...

I only watch the fight up to round 6..lol..after that it's tough!

Cotto did get folded by that uppercut to the gut tho..I noticed that slowed him down..I believe that's also the round where Margarito landed a low blow or two and a headbutt..it was a vicious round for both guys..and the fight was definitely an instant and modern day classic like Kellerman had stated..lol

You should watch SSM throwing some lighting quick "bobmbs" flush on margarito. and the way he had to be saved by the ref from getting killed in the ring! the dude couldn't even win a single round!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL.
