I don't hold bias against either in this bout, but this black dude can clearly see Margarito has a bunch of plusses on his side. He's even tiring out his speed guys in sparring. I don't think a win is that much of a stretch when he's doing all the things he can to offset Manny's legs. He even looks a little quicker than usual himself. Ricky Hatton had 0 trouble backing Pac up and his chin and durability was gone at that point. Tone's a real monster with that pressure.
And without clinching, I'm real curious to see if a new blueprint to beat this guy can be made Saturday. This is not zombie DLH Manny's fighting.
Margarito is a good counterpuncher against lefties. What's even worse for Pacquiao is that he throws his counterpunches to the body.
Unlike Williams, Santos, and Martinez, Pacquiao has to punch upward while Margarito can punch downward with more leverage, so it'll be easier for him to catch Pac.
you are so right i didnt even think about that the fight seems easier and easier for him the more i think about it.

Another reason that I give MArg a chance is because if you watch the Cotto fight, even when Cotto would land a combonation in the early rounds, Margs would always land at least one good body shot.... Just rewatch the first round and you will see him do that a couple of times....
Cotto lands three or four but Margariot would land one hellacious body shot and back Cotto up....
Cotto got the best of him early but the body shots started to wear him down and eventually ended him......
It's hard to say how Marg will do at this point. If his last two fights are any indication, he hasn't proven much to warrant a change of heart. He's going to have to blow Manny away to prove everyone wrong. I mean he's going to have to be relentless while attacking and walking Manny down from the start of the opening bell.
He just may end up finishing on his feet. But if he let's Manny win the early rounds and relies on the score cards, it's going to be tough to win it.
People can't seem to understand how much strength plays a factor into Margarito's game. Garcia was very strong, it helped him push Margarito back, take his punches, and withstand the pressure.
Maybe none of that will be a factor at all. Maybe Pacquiao's speed of movement + his conditioning will be enough to entirely negate Margarito's overbearing physical presence and he can dart in and out, side to side, avoiding the brunt of Tony's attack while nailing him at will from all angles.
If he did that against a Margarito who comes out looking strong and purposeful it would be remarkable, but I'm open to that as a possible outcome...maybe Manny really is that superhuman.
For my part, I just meant it's ****** to act like the Garcia fight is telling, or to talk about how Garcia walked through a high number of punches or bulled him around at points as if Manny can do the same.
For me, it comes down to what Margarito has left and his last fight wasn't enough to fully guage that. Margarito appears to have had an ebullient, productive camp and to be getting himself in good shape, but that can be misleading if the fighter is already irreversibly deteriorated - there are certain things in a fighter that no amount of hard labor in camp can bring back once they're gone.
One thing I think I have fully convinced myself of is that Tony was always naturally pretty heavy-handed as a welterweight and that illegal advantages weren't anything to do with the hurt he put on Cotto or earlier opponents. I look at Pacquiao's smallish welterweight stature, how tender his face has looked even after dominating in his last two fights, and conclude that, for all his resilience, he can't afford to get hit much against Margarito. Not least because Margarito builds momentum the more he hits you, you can't allow him to get a foothold.
If Pacquiao is exchanging firepower instead of just dispensing it, he's in trouble.
