Fighting through injury is part of boxing. YOU ARE SUPPOSSED TO GET HURT. When the ref says it's enough, he's the one who calls the shot and protects you.

You might get your face cut, your teeth ****ed up, your knee blown, your shoulder ****ed up (like Cotto did with Branco, BTW), your hand messed up (like Hearns against Hagler) and you keep on fighting because you are supossed to fight.

Rafa Marquez.....to me, has earned the benefit of the doubt. He has been in fights just as tough, if not tougher, and persevered. There is no reason to doubt the severity of the injury as far as I'm concerned.
