Where is Juan "El Pollo" Valenzuela ?

This guy was on a helluva run a few years back.....with big victories over Rico Williams & Julio Diaz, & a very exciting style.
I thought he was a player in the loaded 140lb division.

Any word on what his problem is ?

I believe he detached his retina...

Im as dissappointed as you he was a gigantic 140 pounder who fought kind of like Mayorga (more controlled). His KO win over Diaz was awesome!

      Thanks, Scap.

He was more refined than Mayorga....though ultra aggressive & pretty unhinged. But, it's a good comparison.
Dude threw a great left hook...didn't he ?

I believe it was the left hook that Julio diaz never saw coming that put hi slights out.

My recollection of El Pollo was that he was huge, when he fought Willimas he weighed about 160 on fight night, I remember thinking that Dibella and his team either hated Ricardo and wanted him beat or they should be shot for bad matchmaking. Pollo was way too big for Ricardo.

He is still listed as a Golden Boy fighter so maybe there is a chance of a return someday.
