It wasn't really that much weight, I love the way ppl try and discredit Tarver, he was a very good fighter who was hungry at the time and took advantage of Roy being slightly on the decline.
Tarver is one of those boxers that Roy would always struggle with even when Roy was in his prime.
Glen Johnson is another story though. A prime Roy would make Glen look like an amateur and win an easy UD.

Most likely, he had the legs then to deal with the constant pressure of Glen just coming forward not to mention the speed and reflexes to make Johnson appear in slow motion.
In hindsight who would've ever thought this guy would be so legendary? Definitely the wrong guy to try and build your confidence back up against after a brutal lucky punch ko from Tarver.

Tarver is a counter puncher who figured out Jones style during thier first fight. He hurt Jones badly twice in round 10, so the chances were high that he would at least score a kd during their second fight
