What makes a boxer??

Its not color,race or nationality..cause they come from differant walks of life,differant up bringings..some middle class,some poor,some homeless..some tall,some short,some slow some fast..so many differances and yet so many similarities.is is it the fight that exist in some people??is it the need to overcome obsticles?? do some people just love pain??cause no matter how great your defense is you will experiance pain..from my experiances..a trip to the boxing gym can be compared to a sunday at church..its like baptism under fire..the sweat the pain the hardwork all makes you smile after its all over..the companionship among the boxing fraternity can only be understood from other members..its a level of respect from one another cause you all had the balls to step in there and TRY..JUST TRY..AND STICK WITH IT..boxing can really be used to descibe life in general..if you fall its ok..dust yourself off..and GET UP!!!!

Larry,in this day & age,selling power & popularity is what makes a fighter!!It's sad,because how many entertaining fighters sit on the outside looking in??While superstar fighters pad their resumes with sell able fights against fighters their supposed to beat??Then turn around & call themselves the greatest??Any fighter that can fight at 147 or 154 is not the best fighters there if the Punisher or Martinez can't get a chance to make U prove it!!

Let's not make a philosophy about boxing

It's really quite simple.
What makes a boxer is the desire to be the best boxer ever, or the desire to become rich.
Or simply the desire to fight a man legally. lol
