that is another way to look at it... I never saw it this way before. good observation."I will die in the ring, not quit like de la hoya."
That is a subconscious admission that he believes in the back of his mind that Pac will beat him. Why say that? Why not say, "I will beat manny convincingly unlike all other mexicans who faced him", or something to that effect.
Saying that he will die in the ring would be like saying he will BE beaten by Pac, but he would fight until he could no longer do so or until the referee stops the fight.
That's my opinion of what he just said.
I do believe though that both fighters will give it their all and we'll be in for an explosive bout.
I do believe this is going to be a good fight to watch... I expect WARLast edited by serv; 11-09-2010, 06:53 AM.Comment

I've never heard anyone get so much flack for quitting than Oscar does. There's nothing worse than someone who sits at home on their computer calling any boxer a quitter. Boxers risk their lives in the ring and Oscar was at the end of his career and completely drained but these "so called boxing fans" of today are quick to call someone a quitter. You have ever heard anyone call Muhammad Ali a quitter when he retired on his stool cos he was also at the end of his career cos ppl didn't talk **** back then like they do now. Kostya Tszyu quit on his stool against Hatton but no one calls him a quitter, julio cesar chavez quit on his stool against Oscar and he's still a warrior. When a fighter is at the end they are at the end but jealous haters who have never been in a ring want to see them get beat up some more and go out on a stretcher, what i want to know is if u haters aren't gonna show some respect then why are u on boxingscene?
Theres a huge difference between Oscar and those three.first of all it was Ali who got pulled out and retired by his own trainer who quite loudly told the ref to stop the fight,Ali didnt quit.Secondly Tszyu and Chavez werent quitting against a guy that they handpicked like Oscar did against Pacquiao.Tszyu did get criticism for retiring at the time, only in recent years has that criticism stopped.Tszyu and Chavez get it their best but got wore out by a much younger, bigger stronger man.
People seem to forget this but Oscar got a ton of **** for signing to fight Pacquiao, nobody knew Pac was capable of fighting as a welterweight and people just saw this as Oscar cashing in and picking on a smaller man.Comment
