    At the Poliforum Zamna in Merida, Yucatán, Mexico, little known journeyman Gilberto Keb Baas (34-20-4, 21KOs) pulled off the upset of the year with a twelve round majority decision over Omar Nino (30-4, 12KOs) to win the WBC junior flyweight title. Nino went down the first and eight rounds of the contest. The scores were 116-110, 115-111 and 113-113. Baas now wins his last seven bouts.

                  That's what happens when fighters get belts handed to them, even thou they DON'T deserve them!! Niño got the belt when he fought Mayol for the 2nd time in Mexico & Parasite scumbag Sulaiman Made sure that Mayol got robbed & that's how Niño became a belt holder!!! & now he lost to 1 hell of a TOMATO CAN!!!& now Tomato Can Keb Baas is IRONICALLY a belt holder!!!! THAT WHAT BULL S H I T CHAMPIONS ARE ALL ABOUT!!!

                    Interesting 24 hours: within the period (allowing for time zones) Brian Villoria, who administered on Keb Baas his first stoppage loss but lost to Nino, won by TKO 7 in Manila.
