I know he was smaller and past his prime and had to deal with a dirty fighter, but it's still the idea that he did quit in this fight. And the reason that I'm complaining about it is because he did something that JMM would never do. I honestly don't think JMM would ever quit in a fight, but you never know. I however can't for the life of me figure out how he would after what Pacquiao did to him in the first round of that one fight with blood coming out of his nose and he showed that he could beat a bigger fighter in Juan Diaz even though he wasn't outgunned in the power dept in that fight like Rafa was against Lopez. That's the point I'm making with this thread.
And up until tonight, I actually respected Rafael more than JMM because I thought he had a better resume until tonight and he did. This was his chance to show he deserved to go down as a greater fighter than JMM and punch his HOF ticket and he fell short not by losing, but going out the way he did. He still deserves consideration for the HOF, but he would've been a shoe in if he won this fight tonight.
JMM>Rafa
That's all.
