exactly bro. gamboa hasn't been in there with anyone as strong as lopez and he's been knocked down 6 times already.

On another note, I just don't see him beating someone as skilled as Gamboa. He relies on that one money shot, his skills are limited in my opinion. Lopez can defiantly hang at the top but Gamboa is just to good for him.

        What y'all think?
someone as skilled? non sense. as far as I'm concerned they're equally as skilled.

i personally i have a tough time imagining lopez beating gamboa because of his handspeed not because of his skills. both are dumbasses. lopez gets overzealous, and gamboa likes to style too much.

I don't know if Gamboa will have an easy night with JuanMa but I can't wait to see it.. But like a poster said before I doubt this fight will happen next year.. I think JuanMa has a mandatory fight with Ponce DeLeon, and i wouldn't be surprised if Rafa wants one more crack at Juan Ma next summer...

I think JuanMa would take a Marquez fight over Gamboa at this point, probably hoping that Gamboa will have to face Caballero since I don't think JuanMa wants Caballero..

Juanma and Gamboa have fought an Africa Boxer before, Juanma won by UD while Gamboa won by TKO!

Hopefully they would meet in the near future - next year!

Ridiculous when Juanma's been life and death already with Mtagwa in the 12th round taking VICIOUS blows...and stayed on his feet to finish the fight.

Some serious getting over-impressed by Gamboa's flashy style.
The only difference is that I don't ever recall Gamboa being seriously hurt. He's like JMM where he get's dropped but get's right back up like nothing happened.

To me Juanma Lopez is like Cotto in his 140 days where he was being hurt by fighters almost every fight it seemed till someone eventually got to him. That is how I see it.

Very good win by Lopez, I won't say great win because IMHO Marquez was past-prime and out of his natural division and he still managed to hurt Lopez. Lopez to me did not look to great and TBH is not very skilled and relies too much on his power. I will catch some flak for this but he kinda reminds me of a smaller version of Margarito.

I believe Gamboa outboxes him to a 8-4 type of UD or maybe stops him late.

If Gamboa has his head screwed on straight, Lopez won't survive that fight

I think people get flashy speed mixed up with skill. Gamboa is exciting and has fast hands and power but he is wide open and gets wild at times. I believe Lopez would beat him with his more technical style.

Lopez would beat Gamboa and I don't think it would be all that competitive. The fight I wanna see is Caballero-Lopez.
