I know you all ain't talking ****, Rafa was clearly the smaller man, 35 years old and obviously past his prime. And he still hurt Juanma more than Juanma hurt him. Yes, Juanma is a great fighter, but he was the fighter with all the advantages tonight and Rafa solidified his status as one of the great Mexican warriors. This fight does not get added to the list of significant Mexican vs Puerto Rican battles, given the circumstances...

Rafa is a warrior but the excuses are pathetic. He's now saying he was injured before the fight which is clearly bull****, he's pulling a Chavez here.

*****, I knew you would find a way to discredit the win.

He quit because he didnt have the balls to take more punishment, he didnt even know what corner he was in. Lopez now 11-0 vs Mexicans, one more round and Marquez might have not lived to see another day. Lopez took flush shots and his chin held up, Marquez didnt take a knee, he took the no mas option.

shoulder was a B.S. excuse. He was throwing right hands throughout the fight. He saw the end coming soon and decided to quit when Tony Weeks said he would stop the fight if he continued to take shots....

Marquez rarely threw the right hand, so who knows?

Al Bernstein: If you're gonna believe anybody about an injury, it's Rafael Marquez. How can anyone dispute that? Did you not watch the fights he had with Izzy Vazquez? Props to Rafa for going toe to toe with one of the biggest punchers in boxing right now.

Common sense tells you that if you have an injury you are more prone to performing below your par. A healthy Rafa finishes Juanma in the fifth round.
