For whatever it is worth, sometimes experience means something in boxing. Former European and IBO lightweight champion Jason Cook (27-3-1, 14 KOs), 35, proved this axiom once again with the thrilling come-from-behind sixth round stoppage of determined challenger Barrie Jones (16-6, 7 KOs) to become a new Welsh light welterweight champion at Newport Leisure Centre in Newport, Wales.

It was a really good fight after the initial dominance shown by Rees. Watson's gotta lot of heart after losing the first 6 rounds and should come back stronger from this defeat, might have been a bit early for him this fight as well but fair play to Rees. Good performance!

I have to admit I did enjoy watching that fight. At first I thought Rees was just going to blow him out of the water, but fair play to Watson for making it a fight. At one point I even thought he was going to KO Rees.

Rees vs Murray is something I would like to see next.
