At Castle Leisure Centre in Bury, England, Craig Watson, 27, easily outscored professional loser Vasile Surcica (13-31-2, 5 KOs) over eight rounds in a light middleweight non-title tune-up. Watson, who is the reigning Commonwealth 154lb champion, dominated his bigger but less skillful opponent in each round and dropped Surcica once in the eighth and last rounds.
