What odds are being offered?

If Im not mistaken, John Watson was an ABA Champion (British Champion, essentially).

But Ive seen his youtube fights, he looks alright but nothing special.

Rees has a lot more experience, beat Souleymane M'Baye a very good fighter, was competitive with Kotelnik etc

Rees is much more proven

but I admit, Watson has a big height advantage and a decent AM background which is important.

Cook was getting outboxed for the large portion of the fight. I thought Jones was ahead comfortably.

Out of nowhere, Cook gets some power shots together and KOs Jones.

I give John Watons props on one thing:

He is taking a big match here with a lot of risk.

Gavin Rees is far and away a few classes above anyone John Watson has ever fought.

Great step up in competition for John Watson so early in his career.
