landcruisers have always been expensive.

the 1st ones in the 70's were cheap.

the one when i was a kid was going for $50k. that was in the 90's.

I always considered Landcruisers like 50-60k ish, I guess that could be the super luxury edition and with those California taxes on low mileage cars it might get to 80k..

Landcruisers are pretty nice though, I would never buy one for that price I would get an Escalade every time for that price.

I certainly wouldn't trun it down for free or even argue about the real price with them.

i think they bumped it up when the sequioa came out a few years back.

before the 4runner was teh 30k-ish and the landcruiser was the 50k-ish.

when the sequioa came out it became the 40-50k-ish and landcruiser went up i guess.

or maybe because the yen is stronger against the dollar.
