I'm pretty sure he hasn't offically retired as of yet. I do think Taylor should give it one more last shot though in my opinion, I know others will disagree but I still think Taylor has the tools there but needs to quit getting careless.

he needs to avoid punchers if he continues. I cant see his stamina getting better at this stage.

He's earnt the right to pick and choose a fight or two. But going by his last 10 opponents, picking and choosing doesnt seem to be in his nature!

If only more boxers were like him.

But he's been getting knocked out badly lately. Hopefully hes got enough money to be sorted for life so he doesnt have to carry on.

Taylor gets to sloppy in the later rounds, this has arguebly cost him his career.. The stamina issues aren't going to get any better overnight but I think Taylor should give it more one shot. I'd give Taylor a couple of bums, build himself up again, then give him one more last shot!

To be fair, I feel bad for Taylor. He had so much potential, as his skills weren't limited, had bags of talent, the stamina issues have been the route of the problem!

A Taylor with stamina for 12 rounds, and less chinny, could have been something real special..

Holyfield man. No reason he's even thinking about boxing.

Age shound't always determine wheather you should retire or not. Just because you get to the age of 37, dosen't mean automatical retirement.

Why should Nikolay Valuev retire? He lost his last fight on a MD, in which alot belive he won against a prime 29 year old fighter in Haye. If injuries havent caught with him, he still offers something to the division.

Ray Austin is on a 4 fight win streak, and on some of the best form of his career, would it make sense for him to retire right now? When he's still performing at a high level and having success?

Vitali Klitschko is still domianting, unless he wants to reitire on top or injuries, I see no other reason for retirement.

Archie Moore didn't win the Light Heavyweight Title until the age of 39. Can you imagine if he would of thought because he has went past age 37, he needs to reitire, if he would of, he wound't of never won the LHW title and held onto it for 10 years, same goes for Foreman & Hopkins.

Performance's should determine wheter a fighter is washed up for the most part not age. Fighters peak & age differently, and not everyone is the same.

I agree with you 100 percent on Vitali.
But Ray Austin's 4 fight win streak doesn't really mean anything his last fight was over a year ago and he didn't really have any tough opponents.
Everyone on the list should retire except for Vitali. I mean even if he was 50 the heavyweight division sucks so much he'd still be the best option.
No one wants to see Holyfield fight ever again and the same can be said for most of that list.
I for one don't want to see Roy Jones keep fighting. He's just making a mockery of his formerself.
And Hopkins looked like poop last time out too. I guess we'll have to see what happens against Pascal.
