As a PuertoRican I want my boy to win but I truely disagree with those that say this will be a easy fight for Juanma and that Marguez is old and has nothing left in the tank.

True that Marquez has great wars in his resume but he has had plenty of time to recover from those battles. True that not everything can be recovered from the Battles that Marquez has had but during the past years Marquez has not punished his body much either lately.

I like Marquez and his counterpunching skills will play a good factor as well as his hability to take punches although is yet to be seen if he can take Juanma's power which might determine the outcome of the fight.

Juanma on the other hand will come in great condition, his power will be there but what he will have to show is more boxing skills on the ring against a guy like Marquez and that's where Juanma has shown some flaws over the years.

This is a great fight to help Juanma show what is he capable of in these divisions and what can we expect in the future as I beleive that besides Gamboa and Caballero, this Marquez fight is probably the most dangerous for Juanma available in this division even including Chris and others. That's how much respect I have for Marquez. and how good I still beleive he is.

This should be another PR vs Mexico war, Another great fight and an action pack war.
Good Post, its going to be a great fight i just think Rafa has one more in him.

My sentiments exactly about this fight, I wholeheartedly agree with you.

I think that both fighters might hit the deck and this could be a knock-down, drag out brawl! I really like both fighters so I really don't care who wins but if I was forced to chose, I would want Rafael Marquez to give one last awesome performance. This year, we have yet to have a true fight of the year and I believe this one has the chance to deliver. Can't wait until Saturday to see this one...

all that you said is pretty accurate, but as soon as Juanma lands you will see why people are picking. Too much power and speed for a guy that has been KOd 4 times and has a questionable defense
I agree with you and I'm rooting for Juanma however, the fact is that Juanma,as does Marquez, gets hit alot, and this is one of the best counterpunchers and skilled boxers that Juanma has faced which adds to the "intagibles" you mentioned.

The fact is that both will get hit and although it's true that Marquez has not faced the power of a Juanma, Marquez is much powerful tha Mtgawa and Luevano we all know what happened with those 2 although Juanma was not hurt with Luevano.

Bottom line and like I said on my previous post, this fight will show us what to expect from now on, from Juanma as I still believe that Marquez is still a very tough, high risk opponent and has more left in the tank than many people think.

Hopefully our Boy puts up a good show and gets the W!!!

Agreed about Rafa. Although I'm rooting for Juanma I beleive that lots of people are underestimating Rafa. And although he has gone thru wars he has only fought 31 round in the last 3 years and only 6 round since May of 2009 so he has had time to recover SOME of what was lost in those previous battles especially with Vazquez.

I don't think it will be easy for My Juanma!!!

It should be an exciting fight and Marquez has a chance because Juanma's team has been unable to get him to raise his hands on defense and gets hit too much.

I like Juanma but he needs to get a better corner.

This fight will be a good test for JuanMa. At this weight he should feel more comfortable and stronger. If Marquez brings it heavy, it won't be an easy fight. Should be good to watch.
