kinda funny how virgil was stopped by RJ and dariuz couldn't. also kinda funny how julio gonzales beat dariuz in his own backyard and roy ate juilo for breakfast in l.a.

Jones was Nigel Benn's WBC mandatory early in 1993 at 168, Jones chickened out of the fight though and decided to move back down to 160 instead.

Jones defended his IBF 160 title once, one whole year after barely winning the vacant title from an unknown club fighter Bernard Hopkins (Hopkins wasn't even ranked in the top five at 160 at the time). He didn't accomplish **** all at 160.

Jones defeated #1 lb4lb James Toney to jump into the #1 lb4lb spot undeservedly (and remain there for 10 years - very undeservedly). Jones wasn't ranked near the top 10 lb4lb until this fluke win against the severely weight-drained and extremely dehydrated Toney. Toney was weighing 220lbs just six weeks before the Jones fight, Toney was clearly a shadow of his usual self that night and it's no wonder why (terribly starved out and dried out and drained out).

Jones defended his IBF 168 title five times, three of which weren't even ranked in the top 10 at 168 at the time and another was just a 'blown-up' Lightweight. The first IBF mandatory that Jones ever faced at 160-168 was his last ever fight at 160-168, against Bryant Brannon (Bryant who?). He avoided fellow top five World Champions in Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank, Steve Collins and Frankie Liles.

Jones defeated 40-year-old Mike McCallum and was magically 'awarded' the WBC 175 belt, he held the title for six years before finally stepping up in class when he got a gift decision and then got KTFO twice to flush his career down the toilet. He didn't defend against anybody, he avoided top-class competition for almost a decade and was juiced up to the gills on steroids anyway.

Michael Nunn was often Jones' mandatory in the mid-to-late 90's but Jones wanted nothing to do with him.

Jones backed out of his fight with Vassiliy Jirov with the contact signed by Jirov, I wonder why.

Dariusz Michalczewski was the Light-Heavyweight king from 1997 to 2003, not Jones. Michalczewski was the true Lineal champion at 175 all along, so Jones was pathetic carrying all those alphabet belts and looked like an idiot. How pathetic, he had nothing more than alphabet crap. Yes Jones has three 'names' on his record in Hopkins, Toney and McCallum but that's all they were - just 'names'.. the truth is that none were near their best on the nights they fought Jones and how pathetic is that just having 'names' on your record. Hopkins was very raw and fresh from prison, Toney was bloated and water-logged, and McCallum was a Grandad.

After Jones defeated the legendary Richard Hall (Nigel Benn wannabe lol) people were saying that he's "greater than Sugar Ray Robinson" - no comment.

Roy Jones Jr was a disgrace to boxing and the only place he belongs is in the Hall of Shame.
Umm.. when bernard hopkins and roy jones fought, they were ranked #1 and #2 middleweights. I think hopkins had more fights than RJ when they fought too.. Toney definitely had wayyy more fights than RJ when they fought

Actually, when they fought roy jones had 21 fights and bernard hopkins had 23 fights (just search for the list of opponents that they fought in their career). I don't know how KO magazine did their rankings, but if you watch the fight, they state that bernard hopkins and roy jones were the #1 and #2 middleweights (perhaps this was for the belt they were fighting for?). This destroys the argument that roy jones fought a green bernard hopkins because jones had less fights than hopkins. Also, if you watch the fight, hopkins is clearly very skilled and did some of his best work in that fight but jones was just too lightning quick.
