    chris byrd's power

I'm watching a lot of Byrd fights lately. He seems to get a lot of respect from the people he fights. The two Klitchko fights, everytime he starts firing back, they backed off. If he was such a powder puff puncher, why would those two giants back off?

I think the impression that he's a weak puncher comes from the fact that he doesn't plant his feet. I've seen him do it many times, very soft punches in flurries, just to score points. But when he plants his feet, I think he has quite respectable power.

Same as Ali, his power was not used because he was floating most of the time. When he planted his feet he had more power then people give him credit for.

    What do you guys think?

I can't wait to move to Detroit in April...

First thing I'm going to do is go to Kronk, go and start training there...

then I'm going to drive up to Flint, Michigan and find Chris when he's walking in front of his house or doing roadwork and run him over with my car..

I think Chris Byrd is very good at controlling the amount of power he puts behind a punch. He knows when to throw soft, soft punches and he knows when he has to throw a real punch to keep someone off of him. Alot of fighters try to take heads off with every punch they throw besides their jab...Byrd at his best was very good at controlling his punches and the power he put behind them. Combine that with his make throw, to make 'em miss style he use to be able to wear out alot of fighters.

Byrd sux ass. He got murder by Wlad in a fight where he was dropped twice and his face was puffed as hell. He got lucky vs Vitali, Byrd was loosing every round till Vitali hurt his shoulder. Byrd hasnt fought in a long ass time and has been running from Wladimir. I have no respect for Byrd...

Byrd deserved to lose his last three fights. No power. Now his speed and reflexes are fading

i really like chris brd when he had all his skills perfect, the only thing he never had was power I know it you know it, even chris himself knows it(he has said it in interviews.) and the future chris lives in ls vegas know , he was born in flint but lives and trains in las vegas (he trains at his house so he shouldnt be to hard to find).
