he became a runner long before he fought chavez. it was actually when he tasted chapo rosarios power that he changed his approach.

that being said, he was a damn good fighter, with an excellent legacy with the skills and talent to have been one of the best ever if not for the drugs and lack of discipline

Jose Luis Ramirez, who probably is also the reason people say Camacho was a changed boxer by the time he faced the likes of Chavez, Tito, De La Hoya, etc.

After a wide decision loss to Camacho, Ramirez ended up beating, in a split decision, Pernell Withaker, and lost a close technical decision to Chavez.
