Probably not, the guy has been at about 160 since his career began which spans back to 2001. Some fighters can't stay at a single weight class for more than a year or so, and some guys can maintain a weight for a decade. Anyone have any insight into how that works? Some fighters just stay the same weight, and some fighters despite their best efforts get bigger? For no rhyme or reason? Also will Felix Sturm ever fight anyone of note again?
Felix Sturm moving to Super Middle Weight??

Adnan walks around 200 pounds (90 kilos) he said himself.
but it was never a problem to make weight.
it always has been considered to move up, but theres not really a reason why he should vacate his title and move to a weight where the best are in the Super 6.
Hope he stays at 160, hes a middleweight legend.Comment

Has anyone guarded a strap as quietly and carefully as Sturm? They must have a good situation over there where he can continue to make just enough money to validate fighting no one and hugging his trinket. Kind of sad honestly. With all the people that get stripped, it should really be Sturm who loses his belt IMO.Comment

Looking at his resume of the last 2 years, it's really not bad at all. But it's really lacking a big fight. For some reason, it doesn't feel like he's in the mix at all at 160. Martinez, Williams, Pavlik hardly even utter his name.Adnan walks around 200 pounds (90 kilos) he said himself.

Felix just came back from his layoff, remember?
thats the time when Williams, Martinez and Pirog came along.
Pavlik never wanted a piece of Sturm and Abraham...even everybody wanted those fights.....Comment

Pavlik fought Hopkins and Martinez instead of Sturm. I think that was the braver road. Sturm was never really in the picture for Pavlik. Talks were about Pavlik and AA at a time when Pavlik was being hampered by injuries. The demand was never high enough for Pavlik/Sturm to get any real traction, and there were always bigger fights looming for Pavlik. I just think Sturm needs to start calling out names like Martinez, Williams and Pavlik. He's doing great work at home, but he has nothing to lose coming for these bigger fish.Comment

He looked a bit rusty in his come back fight. He wasnt on vacation or resting... he couldnt fight because he was in court wars with UBP his old promoters, but now hes a free agent and did an excellent show which was TVed by his own.
since Sylvester is improving a lot since he is a champ and Felix is back as free agent...everybody wants to see Sturm-Sylvester 2, including me.
everybody talks about that fight...
to bad the biggest fight in Germany (Sturm-Abraham) couldt be made because of promotional issues and Tv deals...( between German tv-gaints ARD and ZDF)Last edited by cleaner147; 11-04-2010, 10:31 AM.Comment
