Haye: A Spar Fetched Rumour
On Monday afternoon I woke up to the news that I'd been knocked down in sparring, my career was in tatters and Audley Harrison was the greatest uncrowned heavyweight champion of all-time. It was enough to make me contemplate pulling out of my fight next Saturday and just calling it a day.
Firstly, let's get this sparring issue straight. Yes, it's true, Tony 'The Tiger' Thompson, AKA 'The Washington Hustler', has been replicating Audley in sparring sessions down at my London gym.
Despite his brave efforts, however, I'm still racking my brain to come up with a time when Tony Thompson dropped me. I've conferred with the few people around me that watched the spars and we're all having the same mental block when it comes to the incident. Maybe Thompson hit me so hard that I've actually forgotten what happened!
