U say cotto tires, but manny had him down before the 6th round if i remember correctly. I doubt he was drained by that time. Also I dont even think manny's up'd his level in his last 3 fights, seems like hes been taking it easy.

Cotto never really could take return fire & he usually tires,Manny is a high activity fighter with superb speed & stamina!!That's why he looked competitive early, but as soon as he started to get hit regularly & his stamina left,he folded!!

you mean if cotto has a great conditining at that time (though i disagree at that), the outcome might be different?

hhhmmmm. i think i have to review the fight. as far as i remember cotto just tasted pac;s power in the 5th or 6th. that he hesitated to actually engaged. and from there pac, took advantage of it with the strategy larry is pointing out.

just my opinion, and i really have to review it.

i just saw the fight against cotto. cotto definitely had his stamina and conditioning. it was Manny's power and work rate that made the difference. and his footwork was unbelieavle too. Alfredo Angulo is no way can beat Manny at this point. probably not ever

its about staying off the ropes, putting the fight in the middle of the ring where he can use his speed and movement better.

he picks the time were he wants to fight, fighting in spurts rather than going immediately after the ko like he does early on his career. then he goes for the kill when his opponent has broken down.

The Morales that beat Pac gave him no time tothrow first. Also Pac was not the same fighter he is now.

He can move now, and fight on the back foot.

Stamina didn't really play a part in the outcome to me, the uppercut at the end of the 4th took Cotto out of the fight.

With 20 seconds left in the 4th, it was set to be a brilliant fight. Cotto was in complete control of the round by fighting smart and he was about to tie it up at 2 rounds all. Then for whatever reason he stopped and traded - instead of winning the round clearly he got hit with that uppercut and that was basically the end of the fight.
