Seeing past the hype: Margarito has no chance.

When did great abs and training hard helped anyone coming back to great performances? What really counts is how good can you move, hit and not be hit in the end of the day. If you do HAVE to be hit, let you have a GREAT chin. I suspect that is also cracked in Margarito. Either he goes down or not (that's losing by KO or points), he's gonna get hit with ALLOT of punches, you can quote me on that. I see Pacquiao outjabbing Margarito too, despite the reach. I see Pacquiao stepping in, delivering, stepping out and circling around Margarito until he finally gets hit and realizes he can take that (same as he did to Oscar). He will then step on the pedal and stop Margarito.

    I agree with you.

But every boxer has a puncher's chance, and those heavy hands of Margarito will come in handy. That is, if he gets lucky.

Diaz and Clottey were ripped to shreds and they both lost too. Margacheato is no Clottey, I see Pacquiao humiliating Margacheato in that ring. I should get champagne for this great occasion.

All I can say is, I was relieved to read an article by a boxing examiner who visited Marg during sparring, and only saw a ghost of him.

Margarito was breathing heavily after every round. So I agree with TS, hopefully. Though a lot of Pac fans are worried, including me.

Don't worry even with his plaster-wraps he is too hit someone as mobily fast as Pacquiao.

I believe his hands have lost some of those pounds if you know what i mean. I think it will be a slaughter and trust me i'm no *******, just being real. I was watching some tape of Margarito and then i saw Manny vs Oscar and it became very clear, Margarito will be hurt. For Pacquiao is a mental thing, he's gonna go for the KO. We saw Mosley failing to stop Cotto although Cotto was in his prime then, and then we saw Manny stopping Cotto and Mosley stopping Margarito. This means Pacquiao believes he can stop Margarito if he hits him like Mosley did. And oh boy will he hit Margarito... Pacquiao doesn't take breaks so there will be no gaps for Margarito to explore with his slower come forward pace. He will be too much hurt when Manny finally eases off by the 11th. Bottom line is: You need good boxing skills and some pop to beat Pacquiao. It's no secret, it has been done before, the problem is, he's been kept away from boxers. Now Margarito isn't a boxer and his hands are also not concrete heavy (not now anyway).

Pacquiao is going to land some bombs on Margarito, Mosley showed the gameplan at beating Margarito to some extent. Margarito's workrate dropped incredibly when Mosley landed those bombs on Margairto. If you hurt Margarito his workrate gets less and he starts throwing sissy slaps to try and land something like he tried to against Mosley. Margarito's slow hand-speed did not bother Mosley one bit, nor will it bother Pacquiao.

                Fair enough mate.

I think Marg's stamina would be a factor here too.

Training is everything in boxing... What good are all the skill, power, and speed if you ran out of gas early or doesn't have a game plan that is normally honed and perfected during training?

I agree, margo will be hit a lot. Pac punches will be raining down on him... Can he take it?... training hard will help and that is exactly what he is doing.

I still predict Pac by UD or late round stoppage, but honestly I am not discounting an upset.
