Bob Arum predicts Pacquiao will knock out Margarito

Two weeks ago Top Rank promotion owner Bob Arum said Pacquiao will not win over Antonio Margarito if the fight were held on the day he watched the Filipino boxer train in Baguio City in the Philippines.

But yesterday he said Pacquiao will knock out Margarito in the later rounds or win via a close decision.

Arum flew to Manila two weeks ago to see for himself how Manny Pacquiao was progressing in his preparation for his fight with Antonio Margarito on November 13.

A day after he arrived in Baguio City and saw Pacquiao train, Arum said the pound-for-pound king will lose to Margarito if the fight were held on the day he saw him in action with sparring mates.

Arum said Pacquiao did not have the speed that is needed to neutralize Margarito who is taller and much bigger that the WBO welterweight champion.
In 10 days, Pacquiao will collide with Antonio Margarito at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas for the vacant Junior middleweight championship of the world.
“I see Margarito coming right at Manny and trying to bully him,” he said. “But Manny will stand in there and trade punches with him. And once he gets going, as he always does, he’ll start moving around and start nailing him with his left and his right,” he said.

Arum looks at a repeat of the recent Pacquiao-Cotto fight where he demolished the Puerto Rican boxer in the later round of their fight.
Arum says his son-in-law and president of Top Rank, Todd DuBeof was at the Wild Card Gym recently and he said Manny was doing great.
Still, Pacquiao has been criticised for taking his time out to grace and honor some social and political commitments.
Most recently he flew to Las Vegas on a private Jet to endorse the candidacy of Senator Harry Reid, a friend of his promoter Bob Arum.

Right after arriving at the Wild Card Gym from Manila, Pacquiao slipped to San Diego to coach his own basketball team in an exhibition match.

Yesterday, he was guest at the Jimmy Kimmel Live where he did "Imagine" by the Beatles with comedian Will Farrell.

Pacquiao and his entourage is set to move to Texas over the weekend for the final phase of his training for a possible record-breaking eighth win in eight different divisions.
