I think it'll do between 800k and 1.1 mil. That being said I hope the sales are poor, I don't want that scum bag to earn another pay check in the ring, if his ppv were poor it would show that people don't want to see him in the ring again.

    Sadly that won't the case.

I don't get this logic. Roy Jones-Calzaghe featured one superstar, one Euro star and a 24/7. HBO rolled out the red carpet for it. **** didn't even crack 200k buys. It's about timing and perception. The name power only fits under those two things.

Anyway, like I said: 600-800k; maybe a little more, an outside chance of less. We need to stop overvaluing these fights (ahem, 2mil for Mayweather-Mosley) and deal with reality. And don't be surprised when there's controversy regarding the PPV #s.

People in NSB tend to downplay the stuff because they know what's up in and out between Pac and Marg. Heck, they even know how the fight will end up.

        But hold your horses guys...

What's compelling sells, and that's where HBO succeeded in promoting both fighters. I'm sure you'll all agree that 24/7 made Marg looked good and seemed to have a shot at Pacquiao, no matter what you guys think.

Don't forget the people out there who'll bite onto this compelling stuff 24/7's brewing, those fans who aren't hardcore boxing fans and don't have NSB in their lives to ***** with and know how the fight will end up.

Those people who wanted a good fight!

my thinking is that margo is a bigger draw then clottey and will draw more ppv buys.

as for jones/calzag, IDK, maybe becuz jones was on the decline and ppl didnt think he was gonna win or maybe calzag isnt a ppv draw, IDK.

and your estimate is about what mines is. IDK if it does a million, but certainly more then 500K.

Yeah but Roy Jones is a bigger draw then both Clottey and Margarito. Why didn't his fight sell?

Ahh, see your second statement. Timing and perception, like I said.
