I have a love/hate relationship with Dirrell. I am a fan when he performs like he did for the majority of the Abraham fight. But I didnt like how he "performed" for most of the Froch fight.
The whole Dirrell-Ward situation was fishy from the get-go, I am not saying he's faking but I have my suspiscions.Comment

I've never been a real fan of him but I'll continue to defend him until he's proven wrong. Forum politics and conspiracies are a joke. If you believed all the crap posted here Floyd is fighting Sergio in Dubai, and all fights are fixed.Comment

I'm still doubting. I sent him a couple of hurtful messages on Twitter after I heard about his pulling out but I really like his style. Froch-Dirrell was the first fight I watched of him and I was impressed. I became a fan of his after the Abraham fight. He has got very good skills.
I'm really doubting his injury. I'm kinda stuck in the middle:
On one side I hope the injury is fake so that Dirrell returns to the ring
but on the other side, how can I be a fan of someone who lies about injuries to pull out of fights?
Any other Dirrell-fans here who are going through the same emotions as I am?
,
I reallly don't know what to say , the only thing that a put me to ease even if he lied, is fight ward sometime in 2011. Win or lose I can respect that from him.Comment

I was a fan after the Froch fight as well, but faking an injury is not cool, especially when there are many boxers with real brain damage.
I would still watch him fight again because of his awesome skills.
I do believe in second chances, but faking an injury and then blaming it on a fellow boxer is pretty damn low.
If he fights Ward, Bute, and gives Abraham a rematch and became a blood and guts warrior combined with his skills, I might consider being a fan of his again.Comment
