I don't see what message he could send other than being able to stop Bika which is unlikely since Bute was unable to.

I don't think ward really had any control over who his opponent was. I think it was just a matter of the next best possible opponent available (bika is (or very recently was) ranked #6 at SMW).

How by fighting a guy Bute thouroughly dominated???? That doesnt make any sense.

I guess Pavlik is going to fight Brinkley so he can send a message to Bute too?

The reason I suggest this is because Bute seems to be looming about waiting for an opportunity. He handled Miranda far quicker than Ward. It seems to me that with a fight in waiting between the top 2 then this is one way he can let Bute know that a deadly force, and future pound 4 pound fighter is heading his way.

By doing it in a better fashion.

Also, you don't know boxing and the mental mind games.

But if Ward has any trouble at all with Bika he will have sent Bute's message to himself for Bute.

                Of course, without a doubt!

Bute is the one who needs to do the messaging.

Ha I agree, Bute reminds me of Calzaghe - just pure hype, in ten years time will find him deep in a sandpit of coke. Sad but true.

In fact worse, Sven Ottke ... and that's low!
