did you even know the terms of the oscar fight? they were highly skewered towards oscar's favor. the fact that oscar was the promoter & got floyd to take the smaller share made it even worse. Even when the ppv returns came back,it was highly tilted in oscar's favor. Actually pacquiao got a better deal than floyd on the ppv returns. the only reason floyd made more money with oscar is they sold more. he got the short end of the stick in the money splits with oscar that's why he didnt want to do the rematch with oscar.

why do yo think floyd kept on having money troubles after the oscar fight?
I know exactly what happened during negotiations
for the Floyd/Oscar fight. This is according to ESPN........
After Mayweather agreed on financial terms -- a purse
of at least $10 million that will probably increase to between $15
million and $18 million once the pay-per-view numbers are tallied
-- he gave in to De La Hoya on every point just to get him in the
    ring.

Gloves? De La Hoya wanted Reyes brand, the "puncher's glove." Even though Mayweather always wears Winning brand, which better protects his brittle hands, he agreed.

"I can't wear the gloves I want to wear, but he can wear the gloves he wants to wear, so he said, 'Let's put that in the contract.' So I said, 'OK, no problem.'"

Then there was the weight. Mayweather preferred to fight at welterweight (147 pounds), where he is champion. De La Hoya, who holds a title at junior middleweight (154) insisted that Mayweather come up to his weight. Again, Mayweather agreed.
Hooooold up! How can Pacquiao get a better deal with Oscar but
Floyd fight sold more and Floyd made more money than Manny?
That PPV record has yet to be beaten. Floyd went home with more
money off of Oscar than Pac did because remember. Pac had to
Pay Arum and he owed a share to Golden Boy because Manny
agreed to be represented by Top Rank and GB. Manny didn't
even pay GB as of yet. Floyd got more money and a "154"LB
title at Oscar's best weight being the smaller guy with everything
stacked in De La Hoya's favor. Even sparred with Mosley AND had
the GREAT COACH Freddie Roach in his corner. Mayweather cashed
in. Don't care what he does with his money. All I care about is the
FACTS. As for Cotto? That dude looked nervous at the Gatti fight,
    him and Hatton.

floyd made more with oscar because they significantly sold more. the money split & specifically the revenue split after hitting a certain ppv number was heavily favored in oscar's way with the deal floyd got.

pac got a better deal with oscar but made less because they sold signficantly less than floyd did.

      ya dig?

      by the way,

did you ever find out what a boxing hard offer is?

      • =Willie Swindler;9515481]thanks for proving my point noob. sure, floyd called out all those fighters. there's video of this (much better evidence than your linkless quotes), but what does that mean? they interviewed him RIGHT AFTER A FIGHT INSIDE THE RING. As if another fight gets signed after a fight that just happened since larry merchant asked you a question right?

        AGAIN GRUSTLER,

PLEASE PROVIDE ME EVIDENCE OF THOSE FIGHTERS DECLINING TO FIGHT FLOYD & THE HARD OFFER FLOYD GAVE THEM.

Have you figured out what a boxing hard offer is yet?

        You know nothing you novice.
Oh ok. First your telling me to provide you links to prove
my point THEN you say that it is true because there are
videos out of Floyd calling them out. THEN you say, anyone
can call fighters out but I have to find you hard evidence
that he wanted the fights? Are you serious? All of those
fights were being talked about or negotiated at the time.
Since you know so much. How come you don't know this?
Your calling my quotes linkless but you admit that they
did happen? Stop playing reindeer games. IF you go back
and check them "linkless quotes" you will see that the
fights were declined or negotiations didn't work out.
Come on fam. Quit while your ahead. Just to make
you feel like you know more, I'll let you continue to
call me names to make yourself feel smarter than me
ok? It's that cool with you? Ok, here's your pacifier
        back.

What? Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Somebody tie him up, put
him in the ring with Margarito and let him use his plaster
wrap inserts to beat this guy face in. You have got to be
kidding with that one! Ha ha ha ha! Somebody has
to sig this! What does me telling you what a "Hard Offer"
is, when you don't even know the difference between a
good and a bad deal? Thanks for making my day. Classic!

you have got to be ****ing kidding me grustlah brah. YOU WANT FLOYD TO GET CREDIT FOR CALLING FIGHTERS OUT? YOU WANT FLOYD TO BE EXCUSED BECAUSE HE CALLED THEM OUT AFTER HE GOT INTERVIEWED AFTER A FIGHT?

            IS YOU REALLY SERIOUS DUDE?

So now that we have established that you dont know what a boxing hard offer is & how it relates to your little twisted fantasy that since floyd called out those fighters during an interview right after his fights, & since the fights didnt happen those guys MUST HAVE DUCKED FLOYD,

a boxing hard offer is floyd & his team offering a fight purse, fight weight, fight venue, & fight date to those said fighters floyd called out.

            Now again,

DO YOU PERSONALLY/INTIMATELY KNOW/INVOLVED with team floyd that they gave A HARD OFFER TO ALL THOSE GUYS FLOYD CALLED OUT in a freaking interview after he just finished A FREAKING FIGHT?

            Do you know?

Can you please provide evidence of hard offers that floyd's alleged opponents declined?

            THANKS IN ADVANCE GRUSTLER.

pac got a better deal than floyd vs oscar. were you not following negotiations for that fight? the fight almost got cancelled because pac held out just like with the hatton negotiations. Pac got a higher percentage split than floyd in ppv returns & got international royalties that floyd didnt get because floyd didnt have a promoter looking out for his interest like pac has with arum.

& Pac got what he wanted. Both hatton & oscar blinked.

But you said it yourself. Floyd walked away with more because
Pac/Oscar did less right? So how could Pac get a better deal?
He could not live up to his worth. I hear you though but I thought
we were debating if Floyd made 20MIL fighting Oscar. You said
how do I know and then I proved it. You knew this all along so
why are you trying to test me? Come on man, you have to admit
it was funny what you said about Pac getting a better deal but
made less. I guess that only shows Floyd made more for Oscar
than Pac did at the end of the day.

And like I said. All of those quotes were fights that were
either being explored by Floyd and/or negotiated. How could
you deny that? I showed you that Floyd wanted to fight Margarito
but wanted 10MIL guarantees on Cotto/Hatton and 20MIL for Oscar
FACTS! I also have a quote in there where Arum says Cotto ain't
ready for Floyd, when Floyd was looking for a fight at 140 AND Floyd
was chasing Mosley and Oscar up divisions to land a fight with them.
Right or wrong? Everything is right there posted on this thread. I
don't know Floyd or his people so how much more evidence you need?

                    • floyd doesn't have the heart to be on any ATG list , and if anyone on this forum can say he's top 100
