Comments Thread For: Thompson: Haye Beat Me Up, He Will Destroy Audley!

Heavyweight contender Tony 'The Tiger' Thompson, who spent the last three weeks sparring WBA world champion David Haye, believes the British champion will have a very easy night when he defends the title against domestic rival Audley Harrison on November 13. Thompson told the South London Press that Haye impressed him during their sparring sessions and made him a believer.

Well even though people hate Haye he is a very good fighter, very fast and very powerful in either hand. I am suprised he beat up Thompson in sparring as Thompson is a good fighter aswell in my book.

This is a bad omen for Audley and might bring him back down to earth a little.

Damage control (sung to the tune of "***** control")... Haha Thompson felt bad for Haye, and didn't want Haye with his female ways to get jealous, spiteful, and mad... Thompson gets publicity from Haye, so he wants Haye to be his friend... Hahaha or he is just a hella nice guy... Notice he never rebukes the fact that he knocked haye down.. an indication right there he is just blowing smoke.... lol haye ain't gonna make it to a klit...

Found it hard to understand most of this.. but even if he did knock him down in sparring.. so what? people get knocked down in sparring. People aren't always coming in fresh for sparring, they may be trying new things in sparring etc..

quote "people get knocked down in sparring all the time..." LOL I know man - that's why you, nor anyone else should look too much into this situation period; from either side... Sparring doesn't mean ****... When Khan and Pac spar it looks dead even, but pac would wipe khan out in a few rounds... Haha but if John Ruiz was able to check Haye's chin throughout the fight, and tag him cleanly and bust his **** up, then fraudley has a chance... Haye is very hittable... Look what Monte Barrett did to him hahaha... Haye knows what the deal is, and the thing is, he basically admits it.

You've seen Khan and Manny spar? I thought Roach didn't allow that. Haye owned Ruiz, I didn't see any chin checking. Haye is definately hittable and has seen the canvas a few times. But he has a way of not being to hurt and then getting up, except when he was gassed in one fight at cruiser. I agree 100% that sparring shouldn't be taken to seriously in the first weeks of camp, as it is just practice. A knockdown is serious business in a real fight and I would want my fighter to be prepared for that in case it happens against the elite. If not they pull a Cintron.

Thompson is better than Harrison. so sparring Thompson should be good prep for the Harrison fight.
