The point of every boxer is to become a world champ and make the most amount of money possible per fight. fighting Sergei gives him the title shot he needs and gets him more money than a Lara fight would. You tell me why Vanes would take on Lara? Lara has at least another 4 fights before he can fight for a title while vanes is right there...
