Camacho looked really bad at that weight, flabby around the sides. He can fight the top guys but a loss would set his career back pretty bad. I don't think he has faced super tough competition and he is now calling out the best...respect the will to fight but he may be treading in dangerous waters.

      My thoughts on the fight.

1: Lemieux should hold off fighting the big names for a while longer. A bunch of 1st round KO's will not prep him. He needs some tough fringe contender opponents to give him some rounds and experience.

2: He seems to have real power in both hands. He also seems to have enough speed and timing to catch cagey vets like Camacho Jr., who is relatively hard to hit cleanly.

3: Russ Amber is a top guy. He did no celebrating at all until he was sure Camacho was OK.

Anyone got a video of the Ko?

I think he should face the winner of Pavliks next fight. I think he could finish Pavlik pretty easily.

          Your delusional.

Beating Comacho dosen't correlate to beating Pavlik.

          He does look good though.

          Pirog-Lemieux would be dynamite!

Now's the time, he'll never practice hitting people harder. If he's a bomber send him to war. Camacho was old and overweight, but David had no mercy. He's ready.

I wonder what La Tombeur will have to say about Bute when he ducks Lemieux.

Pirog would beat Lemiuex at this point IMO. I think Pavlik would be easy to hit, and a few punches would end that fight. Same with Pwill. If I was Lemieuxs handlers I wouldn't touche Pirog or Martinez for another year or so based on styles.

I really don't care what anyone thinks of my opinion either. Pwill and Pavlik would be sparked out by Lemieux within 8 rds. Same with Chavez Jr.

Ive been watching Lemieux for a good while now and liked him the moment i saw him. He has great power, and works his way in well without taking too many he also has good speed and a great attitude and a ruthless killer instinct - This guy can be the best in the division! But his comp has been weak and now he wants too jump in with the big dogs, not wise imo. Id like to see him step up the comp a bit before taking on the divisions best he dont have alot of pro experiance but at 21 has plenty of time. If he couldnt get an early KO over Pavlik or Martinez for example then would he have the experiance to deal with the veterans? Id like him to have a few tougher fights before really testing himself with these kinda guys

This kid is still very young but looks good enough to step up. Pavlic would be a good fight for him.

Pavlik would be all wrong for him IMO. Pavlik not only hits hard, but has a true world class jab and a proven strong chin. Pavlik's weakness is against movers, not against guys who come head on.
