Does Allan Green suffer from "stage fright" ?

In his two biggest fights of his career , first his fight against a highly touted puncher in edison miranda and then to undefeated Wba SMW champ Andre Ward .

In the Miranda fight it seemed as if he was nervous or something was up because if you remember he kept looking down at his feet and never was really in that fight aside from. Knockdown he scored in the 8th round. After the fight he said something to the effect of he wasn't 100% due to some illness he didn't care to disclose.

Leading up to the Ward fight he really talked a good one ,if fights were won on just pure confidence and pre-fight machismo Green would be undefeated.
This fight he just seemed reluctant to engage or throw any punches with intent to do damage he really just looked like a confused man and a Deer in the Headlights; if you will.

This has to make you wonder does he has some sort of stage fight and just freezes up when the bright lights are on ?

I always thought he was a pretty decent fighter , maybe if he'd given himself a chance and fight in those two bouts things might have been diff. But like you guys said he just might not be that good

Wonder why showtime picked him up on the super six , maybe bute was scared?

i don't think he's that good, but i think he also is one of those guys that shows great skill in the gym and fighting lesser quality fighters but someone equal or better he can't hang.

i really don't give him a chance against johnson, if johnson isnt weight drained, johnson is going to maul green. he's going to show green his experience, his aggression, and work ethic. also johnson has a tricky defense, where as green is really easy to find, especially for a guy with johnsons skill level. johnson going to out work green, not respect green, rough green up, and break his will.

Great points you make I also have Johnson winning this fight , he's too well rounded and have been in there with elite competition . He's rugged has a chin and will never stop coming forward.

Let's just hope its a good fight
