  • Rewatching Pacquiao-Marquez II

    So i gots tired of hearing my Mexican and Filipino friends bicker as to who really won the fight and decided to rewatch the whole thing (with the sound off to rid myself of crowd and commentator bias) scoring each round.

    I had it 115-112 for Pacquiao, as did Lederman, but he con****iously gave the final round to Pacquiao, probably making up for a round he mistakenly gave to Marquez

    scorecard:
    Pac 10-9-10-10-9-9-10-9-10-10-10-9 ===115 (7 rounds won)
    JMM 9-10-8*-9-10-10-9-10-9-9-9-10 ===112 (5 rounds won)

    *JMM was on his way to getting knocked down for a 2nd time at the end of this round, and the referee could have possibly scored it a knockdown but didnt

    The final 3 rounds or championship rounds i think made the difference in the fight as Pac won 2 of 3. Pacquiao stunned Marquez with a left hook to start of Round 10. Pacquiao landed the more effective punches including his trademark straight left, blocking most of JMM's punches in that round as well. Marquez clearly won the last round with is uppercut and driving Pac to the ropes with a straight right towards the end of the round. But clearly his punches had nowhere near the power and effectiveness of Pac. Give this man credit for counterpunching the **** out of Pac, but his only effective weapon all night was his right hand. His left didnt do **** for most the fight.

    I also counted the # of times each fighter was knockdowned/stunned/buckled or caused a fighter to be cut by a punch

    MARQUEZ - 6 TIMES !!!

    Round 2- Pacquiao left hand momentarily stunning JMM (1)
    Round 3- JMM knocked down by a straight left (2)
    JMM knocked back against the ropes by a flury to end round (3)
    Round 7- Pacquiao right hook wobbles Marquez (4)
    Round 9- Pacquiao hard left causes a cut on Marquez' eye (5)
    Round 10- Pacquiao left hook stuns JMM (6)

    PACQUIAO -3 times

    Round 2- JMM's counter left hook buckles Pacquiao (1)
    Round 8- JMM straight right causes a cut on Pacquiao's eye (2)
    Round 12- JMM drives Pacquiao back to the ropes with a right (3)

    So there you ****in have it. There is no possible way Marquez won this fight. Marquez's punches did nowhere near the damage Pacquiao's did. Marquez did not win more rounds contrary to what some people say, the rounds he did win were extremely close with the exception of the 6th and 8th rounds. (That means 3 rounds could have gone either way!) Pacquiao won the fight through more power punches landed, more damage done to his opponent, and more rounds won.

    They need to make PAC-JMM iii if Floyd ******* out again to wrap up both these guys careers

      JMM may have had the blueprint originally
      he lacks the chin of El Terrible though
      poor piss guzzler can't war with Pac like Erik did
      this why he came up short both times
      wonder how much longer JMM will stay whining over this :laugh:

        i just rewatched tyson-douglas.

        the ref took too damn long to count douglas out in the 8th.

        let history show that mike won that fight.

        no matter what most ppl think.
